Mac Monterey 12.0.1 (the earliest avail to public i believe)ĭid you find a solution to this problem? I am having the same issue. Managed to get it to work once, but taking the cable out and in again replicates this issue and I was unable to get it to work again. Replugging them in all orders (power>usbA>display, power>Displays>usba)

I tried connecting a usb adapter onto the free port of my Macbook, and the peripherals work fine. It charges fine through them, but I’m unable to use a mouse or a keyboard.

Multi display works fine on my MacBook Pro 13 M1, but a (very) jarring issue is that the D6000 is unable to recognize any peripherals through all 4 USB-A ports and even USB-C. I tried connect the extra port on the macbook to each of those but that did not change anything.Made a recent purchase to try out the multi display feature with D6000 There are several usb C ports on the dock- usc ss and thunderbolt. Only the HP shows up in displays in settings. I have the thunderbolt cable going out from the dock into the macbook air.īoth monitors show the desktop extended from the built in display, but both external monitors are mirrors of each other and show the same content. (HDMI seemed to flicker even with one monitor-and it flickered with both hp and sceptre.)

I have two monitors (hp e223 and sceptre m25) on displayport cables going into the dock. Macbook Air M1 2020 - Can have two external monitors with different displays I have a thunderbolt dock: hp thunderbolt dock 280w g4. I appreciate any insights or suggestions you may have. My displays are as described below and they have not been changed in a while Is it possible that I've encountered a rare case where the manufacturer sent out a faulty docking station? How many displays should I be able to connect using a docking station connected via USB-C/Thunderbolt? When I use a DisplayPort cable with my docking station, my Mac doesn't recognize it at all, and it only recognizes one out of the three HDMI ports on my new docking station.Ĭould these limitations be due to my slightly aging 2019 MacBook Pro 16"? Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue. Initially, I suspected that my old docking station (Belkin Thunderbolt 3, Model F4U095) might be causing the problem, so I purchased a "Workplace Port Replicator Triple 4K Display 96W USB-C" as a replacement. I can only connect to one monitor through the docking station, and I have to plug the remaining two monitors directly into one of the USB-C ports.

However, recently I've been experiencing some difficulties. Previously, I was able to connect two monitors using a docking station, which worked well for about six months. I have a question regarding the number of external monitors I can connect to my MacBook and the best way to do it. I hope I didn't miss anything important! Also, this is my first time using any discussion board, my apologies in advance if I'm not using it correctly.Ģ019 MacBook pro - external monitors Hello everyone, The usb3 from the docking station does provide juice to the MacBook when connected. (I've read that people have had luck with the lid open.)

Tired the same thing with an HDMI adapter and it also did not work.ĭisplay manager software states their is no monitors detected when everything is connected and I've even tired to make the connection with the MacBook lid opened. Ive attempted many different ways, most recently from the thunderbolt screen with a thunderbolt 2 to a video display port adapter into the docking station, and the docking station usb 3 connected to my laptop. Its when the docking station gets involved that I get no response. I know the screens work because I can connect each screen directly into my MacBook and they work just fine. Im not sure what I'm doing wrong but I can't seen to get any video when I connect any screen to my MacBook Pro with the D6000 dock.
